Post Traumatic Stress of Earthquake
Internet stormed with content regarding aftermaths and colletral damage impacts mental health and stress levels. Experiencing a traumatic event like an earthquake can be very distressing and overwhelming. For some people, it can lead to the development of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PTSD can have a significant impact on a person’s life, affecting their mental health, relationships, and daily functioning.
After an earthquake, i started experiencing range of emotions, including fear, anxiety, and sadness. I also had physical symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, and sleep disturbances. For me, the experience of the earthquake was niether direct nor indirect but was so overwhelming that it disrupted my ability of attention.
In the days and weeks following the earthquake, i realsied that other people may feel on edge, hyper vigilant, and easily startled. They may avoid situations or places that remind them of the earthquake, and they may have intrusive thoughts or memories of the event that cause them distress.
